Morphs and Distortions

What is reality? As we have gotten almost a quarter of the way through this new century I have often asked myself this. As I find my mind exploring subjects that are a bit harder to grasp, I feel the need to bring those ethereal and dreamy concepts into my work.

As a artist into realism, I feel like it really comes down to the mechanics of light. As I have been exploring the surrealism side of things I find myself blessed with the tools for both. I want to make scenes that provoke thought and promote discussion.

Making a realistic item and then bending it in an unrealistic way is one great visual tool to do just that. I can sculpt out your grandma and melt half her face if that’s what you’re after. Hell, I could even get you a 3d print of it for your house or a print for the wall but that’s a different discussion. Here are some skulls and stuff I have been experimenting with but check back for more as I continue to play around.

I am highly motivated to do anything in this style across a very large area. If you have any wild idea that would cover a couple of days of tattooing or more, I would love to sit down and talk about your ideas!
